I find this a difficult image to critique because there is much about this that I like very much, but something that leaves me wanting.

I like the colors and saturation very much.

I like much of the composition as well.

The three boats off shore trouble me. I think my brain want them to be on the left side of the image for balance.

But I think that what is throwing me off most is that I would like to see just a little wider crop. -- In part to get ALL of the boat shadow into the image as well as some negative space (sand) surrounding the part of the prow which is currently hidden -- and in part to get the boat further into rule of thirds territory.

I am the first to admit that rules exist to be broken -- and that I myself do plenty of images that violate the rule of thirds "rule" -- but in this case I think it would be a stronger image by following it. If the boat was angled to the left rather than to the right then leaving wider negative space to the left would work better (IMHO).

It's a beautiful image, but could be better.
